Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of physical literacy studies in elementary schools based on Scopus data. The study used bibliometric methods with the help of EndNote and VOSviewer. A total of 111 articles were analyzed to see the development of publications, citations, journals, publishers, keywords, and title terms. The results showed that the number of publications tended to increase and reached a peak in 2025 with 26 articles. The highest number of citations occurred in 2019. The journal that published the most articles was Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy, while the most dominant publisher was Taylor and Francis Ltd. The most frequently appearing keywords were physical literacy, physical education, and physical activity. These findings indicate that physical literacy in elementary schools is a continuously evolving topic and is closely related to physical education, physical activity, motor competence, and children's health.
